Recommended tip

In short, There can be two scenarios for a place of service denial. Firstly, if the claim is denied for a missing place of service. Check for the correct pos code and bill the claim as a corrected claim. Secondly, if you find the billed pos is invalid check for the service description and match the pos billed. If you find if it is correct send the claim back for review if it is not valid to send it to the coder to add the correct pos.
